SUMMARY:We want to celebrate YOU on National Caregiver Day
DESCRIPTION:The Alzheimer Society of Toronto invites you to join us in recognizing the incredible dedication of the caregivers in our community on National Caregiver Day. \nDate: April 7\nTime: 1:00 – 4:00 PM\nLocation: 20 Eglinton Ave East\, 16th Floor \nCaregiving is a journey filled with compassion\, patience\, and resilience. On this special day\, we want to celebrate you. \nJoin us for a relaxing afternoon where caregivers can take a well-deserved break\, connect with others who understand the caregiving journey\, and enjoy a light lunch in a supportive community environment. \nTo help make this possible\, we will also be offering on-site respite for individuals living with dementia during the event if that is needed. This will include an activity and a light lunch as well. \nWe want this to be meaningful for you\, so you may choose to: \n\nStay and relax with fellow caregivers and enjoy a light lunch and conversation; or\nTake a little “you time” to step out for lunch\, run errands\, or do some shopping in the neighbourhood\n\nThis day is about taking time for yourself. \nIf you plan to drop off your loved one for respite\, we kindly ask that you: \n\nSpend a few minutes settling them in and ensuring they feel comfortable\nRemain in the Yonge and Eglinton area so you can return within 15 minutes if needed\n\nSpots are limited\, so we encourage you to register early. \nWe hope you will join us for this special opportunity to pause\, recharge\, and celebrate the compassion and dedication that caregivers bring every day. \nIf you have any questions please reach out to Cassandra Koenen at ckoenen@alz.to \nWe ask that you register yourself and the individual requiring respite (if needed) separately with the buttons below. This will ensure spots for both individuals.
