DESCRIPTION:The TEACH (Training\, Education\, and Assistance for Caregiving at Home) Program is a support group for unpaid caregivers of persons with dementia which consists of 4 weekly group sessions that are each 90 minutes long. \nLearning objectives: \n\nFocus on common caregiving themes including self-care\, healthcare system navigation\, relationship changes\, and future planning\nCoaches care partners in practical communication and coping skills\nProvides opportunity to share and learn from other care partners\n\nSession dates:\nFridays from 10:00am–11:30am\, May 8th to May 29th \n\nWeek 1 – May 8th\, 2026\nWeek 2 – May 15th\, 2026\nWeek 3 – May 22nd\, 2026\nWeek 4 – May 29th\, 2026\n\nPlease note\, participants are expected to commit to all 4 sessions listed above. DESCRIPTION:Join us for an in-person 6-part walking series and enjoy activating your body in the beauty of nature. Get your steps in and then enjoy a chat with a drink in the cafe – on us! \nThis series is appropriate for people living with dementia and their care partners who love walking! DESCRIPTION:This monthly support group will provide an opportunity for care partners of individuals living with Frontotemporal dementia to come together to support each other through the caregiving experience.\n \nLearning Objectives:\n– Opportunity to share insights with each other related to their personal caregiving experiences\n– Become familiar with this specific type of dementia\n– Discuss and share different strategies regarding self-care and care for the person they are supporting (including stress\, communication and responding to behaviours)\n– Learn about how others are adjusting to their own changing relationship\n– Receive updated information about the services available at the Alzheimer Society of Toronto\n \n \n\nEvery 3rd Thursday of the month from 5:30pm to 7:00pm online using Zoom.\n(Zoom information will be provided via email at least 24-48 hours prior to the date) \n  \n*Disclaimer: Registration for this group closes on the Monday prior to the session.
