SUMMARY:Intergenerational Puppetry
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a two-part intergenerational puppetry workshop series\, where you’ll learn new skills\, explore your creativity\, and connect with Grade 9 Drama students (ages 14–15) from University of Toronto Schools. \nWith guidance from a Drama teacher\, you’ll learn the fundamentals of puppetry and work alongside the students to create and perform an original short puppet show together. \nThroughout the workshops\, we’ll explore how creative experiences can bring people of different generations together and consider: \n\nWhat can we learn about life\, resilience\, and joy from people of different generations?\nWhat does it mean to truly listen to someone?\nHow can puppetry help us tell stories with depth\, care\, and imagination?\nHow can shared creative experiences foster connection and community?\n\nPlease register for ONE of the following two-session options: \n\nThursdays\, November 19 & 26: 1:20–2:30 p.m.\nFridays\, November 20 & 27: 1:20–2:30 p.m.\nThursdays\, December 3 & 10: 2:35–3:45 p.m.\n\nFor more information about this program\, please contact Tracey Adams-Thibaudeau at 647-456-6168. \nPhoto by Emma Jenkin at University of Toronto Schools.
