SUMMARY:Creative Journal Workshop - Trust your instincts & Enjoy the Freedom
DESCRIPTION:5-Week Art Series on Mondays\, September 8th – October 6th from 1:30 – 3:00 PM at Danforth/Coxwell Toronto Public Library located at 1675 Danforth Ave\, Toronto\, ON M4C 5P2. \nSeptember 8th\, 15th\, 22nd\, 29th\, & October 6th 2025 \nIn this art series the facilitator\, Monica Wickeler\, will take you on a journey to explore your true creative instincts.\n\nThe art of visual journaling can bring peace and joy with authentic mark making\, looking at our inner joy and bringing in colour and vibrancy. Each week we will explore a new way of expressing our authentic marks onto our creative journal pages. Exploring a variety of mark making techniques\, from watercolour to collage.\n\nMonica Wickeler explores how we can reclaim a public space with vibrant colour and expression and how this can impact people’s daily lives by adding playfulness\, pleasure\, and joy. As an LGBTQ2S+ public artist she engages with the community where her artwork will live which is the most essential aspect of her artistic process—creating a piece of artwork that will bring the community together\, engaging and encourage everyone to feel proud of their surroundings.\n\nThis program is designed for people living with mild to moderate dementia or cognitive impairment\, along with their care partners. \nFor more information\, please contact Tracey Adams-Thibaudeau at 647 456 6168.
