Framework\nImprove collaboration among all members of the team\, including care partners\nIncrease the wellbeing of people experiencing behaviour changes\nReduce stress and increase job satisfaction for you and for others on the team\n\nWho should attend?\nU-First!® Advanced is for healthcare professionals who have previously taken part in a U-First!® Basics for Health Care Professionals or U-First!® Online course and want to enhance their skills and ability to apply the U-First!® Framework.\nHealth care and other service providers with a direct role in supporting people experiencing behaviour changes due to dementia or other cognitive impairment in a variety of settings (e.g. Support Workers\, Dietary staff\, Recreation staff\, Housekeeping\, Developmental Service Workers\, Adult Day Program staff). \n  \nEligibility Criteria:\n1) Must be currently in a healthcare role supporting people experiencing behaviour changes due to dementia or other cognitive impairment in a team setting (i.e. LTC\, retirement home\, Adult Day Program etc.)\n2) Must have previously taken part in a U-First!® Basics for Health Care Professionals or U-First!® Online course. It must be at least 6 months or more ago that the course was taken\, to allow participants to have had the chance to practice the U-First!® framework. \nDate and Time: \nMonday\, July 13th from 9:00am to 4:00pm \n  \nCost: $85\n(this cost includes the five dollar material shipping fee)\nPlease enter your complete address (including apartment number if applicable) when you register. DESCRIPTION:Tuesdays\, November 3rd to December 8th (6-week program) from 10:30-11:30 at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital located at 150 Kilgour Road\, Toronto\, ON Canada M4G 1R8. \nAquafit is not swimming\, it is a way to exercise in the water that can accommodate all ages\, fitness levels\, health considerations and abilities. It welcomes participants to choose their own intensity level\, speed and range of motion. The principles of water protect joints\, and build strength\, flexibility\, balance\, and endurance. Aquafit not only benefits the body\, it stimulates the mind and rejuvenates the spirit. \nThis program is for people living with mild to moderate dementia and/or cognitive impairments and their care partners\, who both have comfortability in the water. \nFor more information please contact Kristin Bartlett or by phone 416-389-6099.

DESCRIPTION:November 11th from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at AST located at 20 Eglinton Ave West\, 16th floor. \nMid-Town Social focuses on social wellness for people with Dementia and their care partners. In this series\, we create purposeful connections among people who are on similar journeys while engaging in a variety of engaging activities including art making\, games\, creative movement\, cooking\, meaningful conversations and more. The program is flexible and will be catered to the interests and needs of the group participants.
