Aquafit not only benefits the body\, it stimulates the mind and rejuvenates the spirit. \nCatherine Lyons-Bozzo is a WaterART Certified Master Trainer\, certified in Shallow/Deep\, Boot Camp\, Mind/Body\, Parent/Tot\, Arthritic\, Common Movement Disorders\, Running\, Master Trainer\, Senior H20 and Senior Land. DESCRIPTION:Group Art Therapy with Kathleen Downie \nWeekly on Mondays from January 13th – February 24th (6-Week Series) from 1:30 – 3:00 P.M at AST located at 20 Eglinton Ave W\, 16th floor. \nJanuary 13th\, 20th\, 27th\, February 3rd\, 10th\, & 24th (skipping February 17th for Family Day) \nArt therapy is a mental health profession that combines the process of creative art expression with models of counselling and psychotherapy to enhance emotional\, physical\, and mental well-being. \nKathleen Downie has facilitated many engaging art programs for AST clients over the years and is now an art therapy student attending the Vancouver Art Therapy Institute (VATI) distance program. As part of her training\, Kathleen will be facilitating free art therapy group sessions. \nGroup art therapy sessions will provide participants with opportunities to work independently and with others to explore and express feelings and ideas that arise in the sessions. We will use a range of art materials and techniques including drawing\, painting\, and 2- and 3-D collage. Combining physical\, mental\, and social stimulation improves brain health and may slow the disease progression.

Aquafit not only benefits the body\, it stimulates the mind and rejuvenates the spirit. \nCatherine Lyons-Bozzo is a WaterART Certified Master Trainer\, certified in Shallow/Deep\, Boot Camp\, Mind/Body\, Parent/Tot\, Arthritic\, Common Movement Disorders\, Running\, Master Trainer\, Senior H20 and Senior Land. She has many aquatic and sport certifications including being a Lifeguard\, Swim Instructor\, Swim Team Coach\, Figure Skating Coach and Gymnastics Coach.
