Yoga Workshop – MHWC Event
Location: Hybrid Event
- This event has passed.
The Mental Health and Wellness Committee Presents:
Yoga Workshop
Join us for an energizing yoga practice in which we will move from gross to subtle: exploring a 60-minute session that will cover conscious movement, focused breath, pranayama, and meditation. Special attention will be paid to upper back and neck tension as well as the low back discomfort. This class is taught through a therapeutic lens which means there will be lots of consideration for different abilities and modifications offered throughout.
About the facilitator:
Julia Ayearst is a certified Yoga Therapist working throughout Tkaronto.
She considers it her great privilege to meet and teach people of all lived experiences and in doing so, to learn just how much is, in fact, common to us all.
This Event will be running both In-person and Virtually.
Please RSVP below for the format you would like to attend.
NOTE: There is limited space in the Gordie Howe Lunchroom, therefore there is a limit of 18 spots for In-Person attendance.
If attending In-Person, please let us know if you can bring your own yoga mat. The Committee will purchase additional mats for those attending that do not have a yoga mat.
