There has been a lot happening the in the world of dementia research both with respect to understanding the various diseases that cause dementia as well treatment avenues. Learn about the latest advances in dementia research particularly around diagnostic tests and available treatments that are both pharmacological and non-pharmacological.
Guest Speaker: Dr. Carmela Tartaglia
Dr. Tartaglia is a cognitive-behavioral neurologist at the UHN Memory Clinic where she sees patients with neurodegenerative diseases and persistent-symptoms of concussion. She is a scientist at the Tanz Centre for Research in Neurodegenerative Diseases where she uses a multi-modal approach for biomarker discovery to facilitate diagnosis of neurodegenerative diseases.
