Family and Friends Celebration: Caregiving with Joy – 2658 Eglinton Ave East
October 26 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm EDT
| FreeCaregiving with Joy
Join us for a heartwarming day at Alzheimer Society Toronto’s Mid-Scarborough Hub as we celebrate the connections made and welcome new caregivers into our community! This Family and Friends event is an opportunity to honour the meaningful relationships formed and introduce the wider Scarborough community to the vital services we offer.
The day begins with a mix and mingle, followed by a workshop, “Finding Joy and Humour in Caregiving.” In this session, caregivers will explore strategies to embrace joy and humour in the caregiving journey, fostering a positive outlook to help navigate the challenges of dementia care.
Afterward, enjoy delicious Bao sandwiches for lunch provided by WuBa Eats, and visit information tables where Alzheimer Society Toronto (AST) staff will be on hand to share more about our programs and services.
We will then move into a light, fun movement class led by Tracey from our Active Living team, offering a glimpse into how wellness is incorporated into our programs.
Whether you’ve been with AST for years or are new to the Mid-Scarborough Hub, we invite you to join us for this special day of celebration, education, and connection. Together, we can continue building a supportive community where caregivers of people living with dementia can thrive.
