This in-person support group provides an opportunity for people caring for a person living with dementia to come together and support each other through the caregiving experience. The goals of this group are to share personal feelings, increase our repertoire of coping strategies, feel less alone, and increase awareness of resources and supports in the community.

Topics for discussion will be tailored to group needs, and may include:

  • Managing stress
  • Ambiguous loss
  • Anticipatory grief
  • Guilt
  • Family dynamics
  • Self-care
  • Understanding responsive behaviors
  • Long-term care. 
Dates and time: Every last Wednesday of the month from 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm (registration is required for each date to participate)
 
Location: 20 Eglinton Ave West, 16th Floor, Toronto 
(northwest corner of Yonge and Eglinton, accross the street from Yonge and Eglinton subway station, our office tower is to the left of Metro Grocery)
 
  • Maximum group size is 12, 10 group participants and 2 staff

  • We are a mask-friendly environment
