Over the summer we are offering an IN-PERSON Long Term Care (LTC) caregiver support group facilitated by Laura Petta MSW. RSW. Laura will host four sessions where family/friend caregivers will have the opportunity to explore this new world of long-term care. In particular, carers who have transitioned a person living with dementia since 2020 might find this group most useful. Since the format is in-person you will have to register for each session that interests you through the Alzheimer Society of Toronto Events Calendar.

Please note that Covid restrictions are in place, masks are required by all participants until advised otherwise.

Each group will take place at our Yonge and Eglinton office from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm

July 19th  – How to maximize your role as a caregiver in long-term care

July 26th  – Plan of Care meetings and how to best prepare for them

August 16th – Responsive Behaviours (why they happen, what to expect and how to manage them)

August 23rd – Palliative Care in Long-Term Care (LTC)

Registration is required to participate.
