Self Care Series – ONLINE for Frontline Healthcare Professionals

In support of front line staff at this challenging time, in collaboration with Behaviour Support for Senior Program at TC-LHIN, we are offering a series of monthly Self Care sessions for staff from various health and community sectors.
These workshops will be online using Zoom. Registration is required.
Thursday, June 3rd from 10:00 am to 11:00 am
This session will discuss the concept of Self Care and the important role it plays in managing the day-to-day stress associated with a Health Care Professional’s occupation.
Putting You First
Monday, July 26 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm
This session will follow a U-FIRST approach to enhancing your self awareness of your current well-being. It will also support your reflection for opportunities for creating better balance in your life.
Working with Anxious Caregivers:
Thursday, August 12 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm
This session will explore the role of Family/Friend Caregivers in Long-Term Care homes. We will examine the many challenges confronting these essential partners, given the pandemic, and how to best support them at this time.
Grief and Loss:
Monday, September 13 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm
This session will cover the significant bonds that can be formed between a resident and Health Care Professional. It will also highlight the emotional impact that the death of a resident/patient can have on these individuals as a result of their connection.
