This dementia-friendly Xenia Concert is presented in partnership with the Alzheimer Society of Toronto and Baycrest@Home.

Did you know that you can play an instrument through your computer? At this concert, you’ll have an opportunity to hear melodic percussion instruments played by one of Canada’s most innovative musicians, Jesse Stewart. You’ll also have an opportunity to make music together on a newly invented instrument using a flashlight and your webcam! Be sure to bring a cell phone with a flashlight so that you can participate.

Jesse Stewart is a Canadian composer, percussionist, instrument builder, artist, educator, and community arts activist dedicated to re-imagining the spaces between artistic disciplines.

This one-hour concert is designed to be dementia-friendly, with short musical selections, stretch breaks, and a Q&A session at the end. Xenia Concerts welcomes all listeners, so invite your families!
