Alongside Hannah and Alex\, you will meet Charlie\, a calm natured\, kind and loyal pup! 🐶   Escape the humidity and heat of the city and join us for a sing-a-long to familiar campfire classics. (Country Roads by John Denver spark for anyone?) You will able to enjoy cool refreshments\, indulge in a sweet marshmallow treat\, say hello to our four-legged\, furry friend and relax into the calm atmosphere. And get ready for some FUN!   Hannah and Alex have created a playlist that will send you back to the sounds of the 70s but don’t worry – it includes hits we all know and love to sing around a fire with an accompanying guitar.  Requests are welcomed through the Registration link! Experience an afternoon that will transport you back to a time where you gathered together with friends to enjoy the sounds of the summer.

DESCRIPTION:Join the Golden Threads Choir for an enriching in-person singing series\, designed for individuals living with dementia and their care partners. Led by acclaimed musician Robin Dann\, this program explores the joy of making music together\, fostering connection and creativity.  This is a 6-week series on Mondays at St. Andrew’s United Church 117 Bloor St E\, Toronto\, from May 26 to June 23 (with a small performance at the Tranzac Club on Friday June 27). \nMondays from May 26th\, June 2nd\, 9th\, 16th\, 23rd from 1:30 – 3:00 PM & Friday June 27th from 1-3:30 PM \nDuring our workshops\, you’ll experience: \n\nVocal warm-ups\nHarmonizing\nExploring vocal ranges\nThe energizing experience of singing as one collective voice\n\nNo prior singing or choral experience is necessary—just a willingness to express yourself! \nAbout Your Choir Leader:\nRobin Dann is a critically acclaimed singer and the leader of the band Bernice\, recognized internationally and nominated twice for Canada’s prestigious Polaris Prize. DESCRIPTION:Minds in Motion® is an evidence-based program that includes physical activity\, socialization\, and mentally stimulating activities for people living with dementia and their care partners to participate in together. \nThis program runs once a week for 8 weeks In-Person at St-Andrew’s United Church located at 117 Bloor St. E\, Toronto\, On\, M4W 1A9. \nWednesdays from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM from February 19th – April 9th 2025\nFeb 19th\, 26th\, March 5th\, 12th\, 19th\, 26th\, April 2nd\, & 9th 2025\n \nThis is a great environment to establish new friendships with others who are living with similar experiences. Combining physical\, mental\, and social stimulation improves brain health and may slow the disease progression.
