Get Active for Alzheimer’s2024-04-29T20:52:57-04:00

Staying active improves our quality of life and our health. We are asking YOU to Get Active for Alzheimer’s

Keeping active is great for brain health! Our ‘Heads Up for Healthier Brains’ brochure shares, “By making healthy lifestyle choices, you may be able to reduce your risk of dementia and improve your brain’s ability to maintain long-term health.”

The Alzheimer Society of Toronto has partnered with various athletic events in the community, for all skill levels. Did you know? We’re able to offer free programs and services for our clients, because of supporters in our community. Here are some exciting ways you can keep active and support the Alzheimer Society of Toronto, at the same time!

Here’s how you can Get Active for Alz:

  1. HOPE Volleyball Tournament, Saturday, June 22, 2024
  2. MultiSport Canada Triathlon, Toronto Island, Saturday, August 17 and Sunday, August 18, 2024
  3. Constantine Yorkville Run, Sunday, September 8, 2024
  4. TCS Toronto Waterfront Marathon, Virtual Run, October 1-31st and In-Person Run, Sunday, October 20, 2024.
  5. Do your own thing! If you are a hiking enthusiast or an ultra marathoner and you want to do your own event, register your event through our Anything for Alz page by clicking here.

For additional information on these and other third-party events, please contact Melinda Good, Special Events Coordinator, mgood@alz.to.
