Drop-in Spousal Support Group

This monthly, drop-in support group provides an opportunity for spouses of individuals diagnosed with OR suspected of having cognitive impairment come together and support each other through the caregiving experience.
The goals of this group are to share personal feelings, increase healthy coping strategies, decrease isolation, and improve awareness of resources and supports in the community. Topics for discussion will be tailored to group needs, but may include:
- Managing stress
- Ambiguous loss
- Guilt
- Family dynamics
- Self-care
- Understanding responsive behaviors
- Long-term care
Every 1st Tuesday of the month from 9:30am to 11:30am In-person at Providence Healthcare.
Location: Scotiabank Learning Centre (Room B-156) within Providence Healthcare
Address: 3276 St Clair Ave E, Scarborough, ON M1L 1W1.
(Parking is available on-site for 2.75/each ½ hour or 10.00 daily maximum.)
