Mid-Town Social
Categories: Active Living, Social

October 14th from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at AST located at 20 Eglinton Ave West, 16th floor.
Mid-Town Social focuses on social wellness for people living with dementia and their care partners. Through a variety of engaging activities, participants build meaningful connections with others who are on similar journeys in a welcoming and supportive environment. In the second part of the program, we enjoy a light dinner together, sharing good food, laughter, and meaningful conversation.
This month, we are pleased to welcome Rachael Cardiello for a special program, Where Sound Dances with Sight. Together, we will explore the connection between music and visual imagination, discovering how sound can inspire images, colour, and textures. No musical or artistic experience is required, just a willingness to join us on this creative journey.
Rachael Cardiello is a Montana-born musician and songwriter who has spent more than half her life in Canada. After studying classical viola with the Lafayette Quartet at the University of Victoria, she became deeply involved in Toronto’s vibrant music community, performing on viola, synthesizer, guitar, and vocals. Her band, ZINNIA, has released two albums and toured throughout North America and Europe. Rachael has long been fascinated by the intersection of artistic disciplines, a passion rooted in her childhood experiences with ballet, painting, and orchestral music.
