Mid-Scarborough Hub 2658 Eglinton Ave E, Scarborough, Ontario, CanadaFind your groove with us as we engage with some gentle movement set to some great playlists! This 1-hour movement session will be offered standing, with seated options available. Fitness Friends is intended for people living with dementia along with their care partners. Light refreshments available.

Young Onset Dementia Caregiver Support Group
This monthly support group will provide an opportunity for care partners of a person living with young onset dementia (diagnosed before the age of 65) to come together to support each other through the caregiving experience.

Advance Care Planning
This workshop will review the importance of Advance Care Planning, and the steps involved in the process, in the case where one becomes mentally incapable of making their health care decisions.

TEACH Program (Training, Education, and Assistance for Caregiving at Home)
The TEACH Program consists of 4 weekly group sessions that focuses on common caregiving themes; self-care, healthcare system navigation, relationship changes and future planning. The program coaches care partners in practical communication and coping skills, and provides an opportunity to share and learn from other care partners.

This educational workshop is for care partners of individuals living with dementia with a focus on looking at the lighter side of caregiving.

U-First!® for Care Partners
U-First!® for Care Partners is a new education program for family and friends who are providing direct support to someone experiencing behaviour changes as a result of dementia or other cognitive impairment.
