Designed to embrace mild cognitive impairment and early-stage dementia participants and their care partners. This series—led by storyteller Sage Tyrtle—celebrates the magic of shared memories and the connections they bring. No experience needed!
This is a one-hour guided tour of the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO) with a hands-on art making program for people living with dementia and their caregivers. The tour is facilitated by an experienced AGO Docent and is assisted by Alzheimer Society of Toronto Staff and Volunteers.
We will focus on three fundamental hand building skills: making a pinch pot, a coil pot and finally a slab pot. The skills required are relatively simple and accessible to anyone with the right encouragement and support.
