IN FRAME: Care Partner Stories
Categories: Support Groups

IN FRAME is a six-session program for caregivers of people living with diagnosed or suspected cognitive impairment. Through a combination of group and individual sessions, participants will create a short personal film exploring “a day in the life” of their caregiving experience.
Using their phones, photographs and past videos, participants will have an opportunity to express their experiences creatively and connect with other caregivers. No previous filmmaking experience is needed. The facilitator will provide support with planning, filming and editing.
Learning Objectives
- Reflect on everyday caregiving experiences, including relationships, emotions and personal identity.
- Explore creative storytelling through images, sound and personal memories.
- Learn simple techniques for capturing meaningful moments using a phone.
- Connect with other caregivers through sharing films and participating in supportive discussion.

Witnessing each other’s stories is an important part of IN FRAME. Session 5 will bring participants together to share their finished films and reflect on what resonates with them. Participants choose which aspects of their lives to include.
Participants are asked to commit to all six sessions and set aside time between sessions to gather material for their films.
A brief screening conversation will help explore whether the program is a good fit and identify any support needs.
Registration is required. Registration closes on October 27th at 11:59pm.
