U-First!® for Care Partners is a new education program for family and friends who are providing direct support to someone experiencing behaviour changes as a result of dementia or other cognitive impairment.

This monthly support group will provide an opportunity for wives of individuals diagnosed with OR suspected of having cognitive impairment to come together to support each other through the caregiving experience.

GPA Basics is a 4 module evidence-based education session designed for team members who care for older adults who display responsive behaviours associated with dementia. 

This workshop is to help care partners identify their sources of stress and develop coping strategies. The focus of the session will be on exploring the concept of resilience and ways to build care partner resilience.

This 8-week in-person program is for spousal care partners of people with mid- to late-stage dementia. CARERS is a comprehensive dementia care program that supports problem-solving skill development and introduces the innovative use of standardized patients – actors trained to simulate real-life situations – so that caregivers, guided by expert clinical coaches, will learn how to address communication challenges.

The Community Connections Café is a welcoming space where people with memory loss or Dementia, and their care partners, can come to connect with others and support their brain health while socializing. 

Find your groove with us as we engage with some gentle movement set to some great playlists! This 1-hour movement session will be offered standing, with seated options available. Fitness Friends is intended for people living with dementia along with their care partners. Light refreshments available.
