GPA Basics is a 4 module evidence-based education session designed for team members who care for older adults who display responsive behaviours associated with dementia. 

This workshop will review the importance of Advance Care Planning, and the steps involved in the process, in the case where one becomes mentally incapable of making their health care decisions.

This brand-new support group was designed by AST social workers in collaboration with caregivers, people experiencing cognitive changes, and various dementia specialists to offer key insight at the start of the dementia journey for the care partner.

This monthly support group will provide an opportunity for care partners of individuals living with Frontotemporal dementia to come together to support each other through the caregiving experience.

The Community Connections Café is a welcoming space where people with memory loss or Dementia, and their care partners, can come to connect with others and support their brain health while socializing. 

This in-person monthly caregiver support group will provide an opportunity for care partners of individuals diagnosed with OR suspected of having cognitive impairment to come together to support each other through the caregiving experience.

This program is an opportunity to meet like-minded people, to engage in meaningful conversations, tap into our creativity and get active. This two-hour social is a great way to find your community and partake in gentle movement to great playlists.

This presentation will help you understand the risk factors associated with developing dementia​, recognizing how lifestyle plays a role in your risk of developing dementia​, and taking action to support brain health.
This session is hosted at the Toronto Public Library- Woodside Square.

This is a one-hour guided tour of a gallery at the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) for people living with dementia and their care partners. The tour and conversation are facilitated by an experienced ROM Docent and is assisted by Alzheimer Society of Toronto Staff and Volunteers.
