Join The Alzheimer Society of Toronto at the Second Mile Club.
This program is offered monthly from 10:30 A.M – 12:00 P.M at Kensington Gardens, 25 Brunswick Ave, Toronto, ON M5S 2L9

This program focuses on social wellness for people with Dementia/Cognitive Impairment and their care partners. In this series, we create purposeful connections among people who are on similar journeys while engaging in a variety of activities including art making, interactive games, creative movement, cooking, meaningful conversations and more. This program is intended for people living with dementia and their care partners.
Programming will be offered through a culturally inclusive, accessible, and dementia-friendly lens. Refreshments will be served.

Virtual Art Talks with Art Gallery Ontario (AGO) – (ONLINE)

Tuesday, March 19th from 2:00 – 3:00 P.M.

Join us for an engaging virtual art talk and more in-depth experience of the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO). The AGO will help explore their collection through conversation, exchanging ideas and observations about the selected artworks. 

This program is designed for people living with dementia and their caregivers. The art talk is facilitated by an experienced AGO Art Educator.

The Royal Conservatory – Rebanks Fellows Concert (273 Bloor Street W)

Monday, March 18 from 3:00 P.M – 4:00 P.M at The Royal Conservatory of Music located at 273 Bloor St W.

The Rebanks Family Fellowship and International Performance Residency Program at The Royal Conservatory’s Glenn Gould School is the only one of its kind in Canada, offering a rich curriculum for career development. Alumni of the program grace the world’s great stages, including Carnegie Hall, Wigmore Hall and Koerner Hall, perform with major orchestras in Canada and abroad, and are members of leading chamber ensembles such as The ARC Ensemble, The Rolston Quartet and The Dior Quartet.

Enjoy a 45-minute chamber music recital by one of the 2023-24 Rebanks Fellows, followed by a short Q&A session led by Program Manager Jessica Wright. The 2023-24 Rebanks Fellows are: Elena Howard-Scott, soprano; Noa Sarid, violin; Christian Masucci Facchini, countertenor; Julia Mirzoev, violin; Jamal Al Titi, baritone; Tobias Elser, violin.

The Mid-Town Social focuses on social wellness for people with Dementia and their care partners. In this series, we create purposeful connections among people who are on similar journeys while engaging in a variety of engaging activities including art making, games, creative movement, cooking, meaningful conversations and more. The program is flexible and will be catered to the interests and needs of the group participants.

Wednesday, March 13th, 2024 from 4:00 – 6:00 PM


Let’s come together to share some food, have a laugh and be creative together. The Mid-town Social focuses on social wellness for people with Dementia and their care partners, this is a hybrid program we will be both in-person and virtual depending on our program plans.

Xenia Concert: Pratibha Arts

Saturday, March 2nd from 2:00 – 3:00 P.M at Meridian Art Center located at 5040 Yonge St. North York, M2N 6R8.

In partnership with TO Live, Alzheimer Society of Toronto, and Baycrest@Home, Xenia Concerts is proud to present Pratibha Arts!

Join us to experience the classical arts of Kathak dance and Tabla drumming originating from North India! Featuring interactive storytelling through Indian classical hand gestures known as mudras, the performance will display rhythmic complexity and dynamic movement language. 

This concert is designed to encourage intergenerational interactions through shared listening experience in a relaxed concert environment. Meridian Arts Centre is a wheelchair accessible venue. A complete list of accessibility features is below.
