Weekly on WEDNESDAYS: May 15, 22, 29, June 5, 12, and 19 (6 weeks) from 10:00 A.M. – 11:00 A.M.
Join the Garden Wellness Cafe to transition cheerfully into summer! Led by certified forest therapy guide and horticultural therapy practitioner, Emma Rooney, learn to connect to nearby nature for your wellness. From the comfort of your home, you’ll have a chance to meet others in a fun and supportive environment and be transported to beautiful outdoor settings through photos, art, and sound.

Our summer 2024 series will include seed starting, flower pressing, and creating a peaceful garden nook. We’ll also be tasting local asparagus and making our own hydrating iced tea. Our final series session will be a chance to celebrate the start of summer and National Indigenous Peoples Day.

This program will be held on Zoom. Participants will be mailed program materials and expected to collect some simple supplies on their own (instructions provided).

Garden Wellness Cafe is intended for people living with early to mid-stages of dementia, young onset dementia and mild cognitive impairment. Caregivers are invited to attend alongside a person living with dementia or to join us to get ideas for sharing nature-based exploration with the person they are supporting.
