Are you or a loved one part of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and impacted by dementia and/or Alzheimer’s Disease?
This monthly support group provides an opportunity for care partners of those impacted by dementia and/or Alzheimer’s disease to come together and support each other through the caregiving experience in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Participants will decide on the focus and direction of the group, and both practical and emotional needs will be explored.

Learning Objectives:
– Opportunity to share insights with each other related to personal caregiving experiences
– Discuss and share different strategies regarding self-care and care for the person they are supporting (including stress, communication and responding to behavioural and cognitive changes)
– Learn about how others are adjusting to and coping with their caregiving journey
– Receive information on relevant services available at the Alzheimer Society of Toronto

The support group meet every last Thursday of the month from 3:00pm to 5:00pm using Zoom
